Rebekah's Run for Wellesley War Memorial Scholarship

I am excited to announce that I am taking on the challenge of the Boston Marathon this coming April. Participating in the Boston Marathon has been a goal of mine since I started running my sophomore year of college and I am excited to have the opportunity to run with my older sister, Katie Rose. I am running on behalf of the Wellesley War Memorial Scholarship, which is a Town scholarship administered through the Wellesley Scholarship Foundation. The War Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the Town of Wellesley in 1951 to assist children of veterans with the cost of higher education. Today, these awards are intended for Wellesley students who have an interest in the military or have close relatives who are veterans. Both of my grandfathers were proud of their service in the Army and Navy and I am honored to have the chance to recognize the contribution of our veterans who have done so much to sustain and protect the freedoms and opportunities offered by our country. My goal is to raise $4,000 for this worthwhile scholarship that has provided many Wellesley graduates with financial support as they pursue higher education. I hope you'll consider helping me reach my goal-- any support is appreciated!

In addition, I plan to run with my sister Katie Rose who is running on behalf of the Wellesley Scholarship Foundation. To donate to her run, please visit her fundraising page at:
