Hey there, everyone! My name is Jessica and I am hard working guard girl! I have been in color guard, a sport of the arts, for seven years and I have loved every single second of it! It has taught me discipline, leadership skills, and a great work ethic. (I recommend it for everyone!) This May, I have just graduated not only from high school, but also from my last year with a public school based color guard team. Although I am very sad to leave the Citrus Hill HS Color Guard under the brilliant direction of Robert Rodriguez, I am hoping to continue on in performing for many years to come. That is why I am fundraising to march Drum Corps International! After auditions for the Arizona Academy Drum & Bugle Corps, a world-class drum corps, I had been offered a membership position for the summer of 2013 and it was a big accomplishment for me! As crazy excited as I was to fulfill this dream, I was also very, very broke. The cost to march this year was estimated around $3000, not including personal expenses. Attempting to fundraise through chocolate bars and having a financial burden at home, I was unable to raise enough money to march this summer. I am heart broken, but I am also hopeful since I still have a chance next summer! With your donations and my continuous efforts to improve my skills, I will be able to fulfill this big dream that is just a little out of reach. Any donation, big or small, is GREATLY appreciated, for this is a huge goal!
Thank you for your contributions to make this dreams a reality, and with your help, I'll see you on the field!
