Generation peace serves peru

Hello! My name is Junghyo Batino! I am with a gap year program with my church called generation peace academy (gpa). Its my second year on the program. I joined this program because i felt like i owed it to myself, this world and god to invest into the life that i lead. One of my biggest fears is living a life that has no light in it. Maybe everyone doesnt have the same religious beliefs of lifestyle, but one thing that i want to believe in is that everything and everyone here on this earth was created for a reason. We were all created with purpose, we all have something beautiful to offer to each other and this world. I didnt just want to exist, but i wanted to create a meaningful life. I started that journey by joining gpa!

We do a couple different things during the year like fundraising, character development and life of faith development. One highlight of the year is an overseas service project! Around march-april we go to different countries to spend time and connect with people from other cultures. We do service work as a form of spreading love. The work we do is simple, but ive witnessed the big impact it has.
Last year i had the opportunity to go to the philippines and it was heart changing for me. My heart was so moved by the love that i experienced there. I felt the transformative power that love has, towards myself and others. This year i have the chance to go to peru! We are doing an online fundraiser to help support the cost for travel and service work expenses. Any amount really helps alot.
