So, I’m running the Boston Marathon this year. I’ve never been a strong long distance runner, and this will be my first marathon, but I need to get a few things done in my twenties before I get really old.
I was lucky enough to meet Paul Epstein during one of my PMC rides. Paul has helped me get involved with the marathon scene and this year I will be running with his team The Foundation to be Named Later (“FTBNL”). Paul and his brother Theo founded FTBNL under the Red Sox Foundation in 2005. FTBNL raises funds and awareness for non-profit agencies, serving disadvantaged youth in the greater Boston area.
My donation goal to FTBNL this year is $5k. I know that’s a lot, but this is a great cause and every donation helps. If you donate I’ll be sure to send you a picture of me struggling and in pain on April 16th, promise!
The Foundation To Be Named Later (FTBNL),
was launched in Spring of 2005 by Paul Epstein, a social worker in the Brookline Public School system, and his twin brother, former Red Sox Executive Vice President and General Manager and current Chicago Cubs President, Theo Epstein.
The mission of FTBNL is to raise funds and awareness for non-profit agencies, working on the front lines, serving disadvantaged youth in the Greater Boston area. We invest in programs that teach leadership, education and healthy development of families.’
