Our mission is to expand the impact of youth focused non-profits working on the front lines by raising awareness and critically needed resources. Over the past five years, the Foundation has invested $4 million in grants to local organizations.
FTBNL hosts deserving youth at Red Sox and Celtics games throughout the season. With the generous support of RISO, FTBNL created the “Peter Gammons College Scholarship”. Named for the beloved Hall of Fame sports journalist and founder of Hot Stove Cool Music, the Gammons Scholarship provides four-year college scholarships to 19 exemplary Boston area students who have overcome tremendous disadvantages but have great potential. We support innovative and important non-profit organizations such as: BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) • Citizen Schools • City Year Boston • The Home for Little Wanderers • Horizons for Homeless Children • Roxbury Youthworks • Steps to Success • West End House Boys & Girls Club
The Hot Stove Cool Music Series is the signature event of FTBNL – celebrating Music, Baseball and Giving Back. Bi-annually, this community gathers to generate significant resources to advance the Foundation’s mission and have some fun.
