Connecticut continues to have the 6th highest housing cost in the nation. Many low-income households hover on the brink of homelessness. More than 3,000 people are homeless on any given night in Connecticut – nearly 1 in 5 are children. Many are also veterans who served our country.
We are raising money for the South Park Inn homeless shelter which has been serving Hartford, CT since 1982. This is a tremendous organization that truly helps people help themselves. We want to help them through a unique fundraising approach that leverages the spirit and efforts of the table-top gaming community.
On November 17, 2018, I will be helping to run an event where teams of players will be competing in a role-playing adventure game called HeroQuest, a game from my childhood. The name of our fundraising event and organization is called Dungeons of Hope (www.dungeonsofhope.org) and it is a registered 501c3 non-profit. Your donation will help support our fundraising effort, which raised $3,300 last year. This year we are hoping to raise more!
The link below will take you to a secure page that will allow you to donate, write a personalized message or to join my team and help me raise money by sending out appeals.
