ReachHD

REACH is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by Hirschsprung disease.

A little goes a long way. With donations, we aim to:
-Improve the quality of life for children with Hirschsprung disease and their families
-Educate patients, families and providers
-Promote and fund research into causes and treatments for Hirschsprung disease

In 2020 we launched the Hirschsprung Patient Passport and the REACH traveling fellow program. Although our 8th Annual Symposium has been postponed due to Covid-19. In its place, we launched REACH on-line forums where we bring families and medical professionals together to talk about and share best practice treatments for Hirschsprung disease.

We recently published My Little Brother Has Hirschsprung Disease, a children's book from which readers learn all about HD, including diagnosis, medical and home treatment, how it affects families and much more.

In 2021 REACH awarded its 8th research grant. This year's winner was Dr. Clara Tang, a research fellow at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Tang is creating a machine learning approach to genetic prediction of Hirschsprung disease risk.

Your generosity allows our 100% volunteer staff to support more families and healthcare providers, to expand our educational materials and support networks, and to continue funding novel scientific research.
